Thomas Chatfield

Thomas Chatfield was born in Toronto. He Graduated from Northern Technical High School Art Course and the Ontario College of Art.

 

In 1967 he resigned as Art Director of a large Canadian company to make painting a full time occupation.

 

His first one-man show was in 1959. Since then he has had more then 50 such shows across Canada and the U.S.A, plus invitational shows at: Ontario House, London, England 1973; Centennial Library, Oakville, 1976; Mcmichael Canadian Collection 1981; Mcmaster Medical Centre, Hamilton 1980 and 1983; C.B.C Documentary filmed and televised in 1974.

 

Some of the many corporate collectors that display his work include: Abitibi Pulp and Paper, Toronto, Head Office; Canada Trust, Toronto, Ontario; Gulf Oil Co. Ltd., Toronto, Ontario; Shell Oil Co., Calgary, Alberta; Stelco, Toronto, Ontario; and Toronto-Dominion Bank, Toronto, Ontario.
